The Western Swamp Tortoise - Australia’s rarest reptile - needs your help! Come along and help the Friends of the Western Swamp Tortoise, Department of Parks and Wildlife and WWF-Australia plant around new habitat ponds to help this Critically Endangered species.
When: Sunday 12th June, 2016 from 9:30am – 12:00pm (see events section this site)
Meeting Point: Ellen Brook Nature Reserve, end of Lexia Avenue, Upper Swan.

Bring: Gumboots, sunscreen, sturdy enclosed footwear, long pants and weather appropriate protection.
Provided: Tools, gloves, and light lunch

We'll be planting local provenance natives at Ellen Brook Nature Reserve, an essential part of the tortoises' habitat. Even if you can only help for a short time, we would appreciate your attendance.
Many of our members really enjoy planting days as a few hours work shows great results (see our website for some pics of the work accomplished on previous planting days).
